My name is Mylène!
The love of photography runs in my family. I vividly remember my aunts holding their treasured Leica, Nikon and Canon cameras as I grew up. They were always ready to capture every moment, no matter how boring or overwhelming it was. It's no wonder that for my 10th birthday, I asked for my first camera. At the age of 16, I received my first DSLR camera and now, at the age of 29, I take analog and digital photos on a daily basis. I simply couldn't live without my device.
I would describe my photography style as lifestyle documentary. I love having a primary element in the frame in order to truly capture the moment and the emotions conveyed by the subject. lifestyle photography is a branch of photography that aims to take portraits of people (or animals!) in everyday life situations, events or important stages of life, in an artistic way. The goal is to tell a story and inspire. The goal is not just to take pretty pictures, but to capture this exciting stage of your life, as it is now.
“Don't shoot what it looks like.
Shoot what it feels like.”
